Qian-Is-Heaven ：The Gua symbolizes the ceaseless movement of heaven，endless transformation，and the ability to cultivate all things with Anode-air。 It embodies the praise and harmony of all existence，enabling the realization of aspirations。In Zhouyi，the number nine is employed to symbolize Anode-air，while the number six represents Cathode-gas。Additionally，numbers one through six are utilized to denote the position from bottom up in Gua， known as senary-place (爻位)。Trigrams，or Hexagrams and Component Lines，this is a term of Chinese thought and culture，but I don’t think they translate the meaning well。Why not “Component Lines of Hexagrams” ？As Q.I.H. all pertain to Anode-air，it commences with all nines。For instance， nine one(九一， or incipient nine，初九，or original nine) signifies that the bottom senary-place corresponds to Anode-air； nine two indicates that the second senary-place from the bottom up is also associated with Anode-air；similarly, nine three denotes the third position from the bottom up as Anode-air and so forth。Only Q.I.H. has Use-nine，but it doesn’t represent any position，it refers to the position of all nine from one to six。
Kun-Is-Earth ：The Q.I.H. represents the celestial realm，soaring in the expanse like a majestic dragon，while the K.I.E. symbolizes terrestrial existence， traversing the terrain with strength and grace akin to a galloping horse。The Gua harnesses the potential of Cathode-gas to nurture all entities，possessing an inherent capacity to support and sustain everything。When Cathode-gas undergoes a transition from softness to vigor，some associations may be relinquished。 Nonetheless，it is ultimately cause for celebration。As K.I.E. all pertain to Cathode-gas，it commences with all sixs。For instance，six four indicates that the fourth position from the bottom up as Cathode-gas；six five indicates that the fifth position from the bottom up as Cathode-gas；six six(六六，or 上六，top six) signifies that the top senary-place corresponds to Cathode-gas and so forth。Only K.I.E. has Use-six，but it doesn’t represent any position also，it refers to the position of all six from one to six。
Thunderstorm Gua ：It portrays the primordial era of the world’s inception，characterized by a lack of peace or tranquility， where the feeble sought refuge in the powerful and yearned for leadership。
Ignorance Gua ：The analogy employed is that of a spring emerging at the base of a mountain，with the water uncertain of its course。If it ascends， it cannot flow towards the mountain；if it descends， it may end up in a ravine。
Wait Gua ：It serves as a metaphor for the initial stages of growth，akin to the innocence and anticipation of a child yearning to mature。Throughout this developmental process， potential risks gradually emerge，necessitating risk aversion and cautionary measures。
Lawsuit Gua ： It explained the cause of the dispute，because of discord, betrayal, rivalry。This Gua tells us the absence of disputes can be ensured through the establishment of a well-defined contract，clear delineation of powers and interests，and adherence to established systems。
Majority Gua：Effective group management necessitates leaders who exhibit seriousness，dignity，and respectability。Simultaneously，subordinates should actively engage with their superiors。 Furthermore，when confronted with challenges and obstacles， it is crucial to approach tasks lenient—just as the vastness of the earth accommodates water。
Circle of Friends Gua：If you aspire to cultivate positive interpersonal relationships，it is imperative to promptly initiate interactions as tardiness may lead to social exclusion。
Weak Animal Gua：When you find yourself in the midst of others， it is paramount to enrich your moral principles with a deep understanding of culture and education。 This will allow your character to soar freely， much like the unbridled wind in the vast expanse of the sky。
Fulfil Gua：The text states that someone accidentally stepped on the tiger’s tail， but fortunately the tiger did not retaliate， so the person felt fortunate。 In Zhouyi，D.T.N. signifies happiness，although historically it was not always interpreted this way。In reality， interpretations such as Miraculous Eight Way Hide Jia suggest that D.T.N. often represents conflict，harm or absence。 The interpretation also emphasizes that those in positions of authority should honor their commitments to those beneath them and understand when to advance and when to retreat。
Calm Gua：It says that Cathode-gas is gradually leaving while Anode-air is increasing，everything is growing fast。At this juncture，it is imperative for leaders to allocate resources towards fostering growth。Adhering to the principles of natural laws will ensure tranquility during the season of fruition；failure to do so may result in upheaval within the world。
Bad Gua：It’s the opposite of Calm Gua，Cathode-gas is increasing while Anode-air is gradually leaving，heaven and earth are estranged from each other。Take the team as an example，and you will notice that the leader begins to exhibit signs of pride，becomes easily contented，attracts a growing number of flatterers，and witnesses a gradual deterioration in team cohesion。
Concentric Gua：A generous and selfless attitude can attract similar individuals, but only those who have a world perspective can use this Gua，and truly succeed in any setting。In actual life，people regard the clan as their family，and it is common for people outside to be hostile and attack each other。Despite being in close proximity，individuals experience feelings of insecurity which can result in interpersonal attacks。
Magnanimous Gua：The sky is vast and radiant， and the nature of fire is upward，much like the sun illuminates everything in the heavens，encompassing all with its selflessness。If the leader of a team fails to maintain humility and selflessness，they will be perceived as lacking integrity by others and may face criticism。
Modesty Gua：K.S.I. signifies the multitude，when G.F.B. signifies people like mountains，stand out in the crowd。If he displays arrogance，he may be subject to disdain from others； therefore，it is advisable for him to conduct himself with humility。Conversely，by demonstrating politeness towards others initially，he is likely to attract their proximity。
Drum Gua：At the beginning of the Tuan (彖) here，ZhouYi proposed that “time” can be categorized into four distinct phases： time of tranquility， time of upheaval，time of separation， and time of transformation。Different measures should be taken according to different time periods。 While a risky approach may lead to success，it is not always advisable。 Careful consideration and appropriate timing are crucial for achieving the best results。Further point out，Drum Gua，Travel Gua， Hide Gua，and Gou Gua，they all possess the characteristic of “temporal significance” and are not comprehensive enough to encompass all meanings，but rather only those that are apparent。In addition，Opportune Gua，Dssent Gua，Take Refuge Gua，and Water Gua，they all possess the characteristic of “follow the time“ ，it conveys a different meaning and requires improvisation。In the end，Rescue Gua，Revolution Gua，Cheek Gua，and Gross Negligence Gua，they all possess the characteristic of “time“ ，not significance or not follow，direct use time，said the meaning or things has just finished。This Gua mentioned that people utilize the stirring drum rhythm to offer homage to the celestial realm and demonstrate reverence for our ancestors，also shows that one should exercise moderation and avoid excessive pursuit of pleasure。
Opportune Gua：Effective leaders should proactively engage with individuals at the grassroots level， cultivate their satisfaction，and steer them through transitions for mutual benefit。By seizing opportune moments and making well-informed decisions，they can yield substantial rewards。For a popular and competent subordinate， even if they are unwilling to follow your lead， as long as they act correctly， they will not make a significant mistake。
Venomous Insect Gua：The Gua employ insects as a metaphor for doubts，as insects lack the capacity to comprehend human language and are prone to causing destruction。 This signifies that once individuals harbor doubts， achieving success becomes arduous。At the end of the Tuan(彖) here，ZhouYi proposed that the correct meaning of Jia(one of Trunk Of Sky，called 甲) ，it represents a system, a rule, or a statute，and so on meaning，also include Miraculous Eight Way Hide Jia。
Go To Place Gua：When the leader encounters this， it indicates that the subordinate is willing to comply， and the leader should guide the subordinate in not losing sight of their original intentions。If not，things will gradually move in the opposite direction。
Observe Gua：The impact of a decree within an organization is akin to the ground upon which the wind blows：at a distance from the issuer，there exists only compliance without further action；from afar，only a portion of the effect is observable； not too far away，mere observation suffices；and in close proximity to the promulgator，emulation ensues。For leaders，when they can witness the progress of their subordinates，there is no idea for fault。
Punishment Gua：The Design was grit one’s teeth，because one hate criminals，and death is the highest punishment。
Civilization Gua：In the middle of the Tuan (彖) here，ZhouYi proposed that “文明以止，人文也”。As early as thousands of years ago，this GUA proposed that human civilization is to use culture and education rather than force to stop things。
Spalling Gua：This Gua admonishes people not to make unnecessary sacrifices when the Cathode-gas is on the way to becoming stronger。
Return Gua：This Gua is the basis for the winter solstice (冬至) and summer solstice (夏至) holidays in ancient China。Cathode-gas develops to the extreme and begins to return in the winter solstice；Anode-air develops to the extreme and begins to return in the summer solstice。Sports return is quiet，walking return is stop，and something returns is nothing，nothing is a holiday。
Awedly Gua：The thunder in the sky was both frightening and then solemn。It serves as a reminder that careless actions can lead to unexpected disasters。
Strong Animal Gua：The opposing side’s strength is overwhelming，like trying to wrestle with a powerful bull，which poses a significant risk。
Cheek Gua：Excellent leaders know how to distinguish whether their subordinates are excellent。One indicator is that the subordinates do not covet glory and wealth，another is that they do not engage in favoritism within their own circles，a third is that they do not fawn over others，a fourth is that they do not pursue personal desires，a fifth is that they are not proud and complacent，and finally，they do not make jokes at inappropriate times。
Gross Negligence Gua：During periods of economic downturn or hardship，excessive measures can result in catastrophic consequences，much like how even large trees can be overwhelmed by swamps。
Water Gua：If a nation is facing crisis，it must be defended at its most vulnerable point。 Before undertaking any challenging task，one must engage in repeated practice to ensure proficiency。The more precarious the situation，the greater the need for continuous learning in order to ultimately achieve self-preservation。
Fire Gua：If one’s strength is not enough to fight against others，it is better to appear tough on the outside while maintaining softness internally，rather than the opposite。This approach is taken in order to make sure it doesn’t go extinct。When all parties come to go and live as a dependent to me，I will battle with the enemy in order to eliminate the evil, or else mistakes may occur。
Marry Gua：True love is a feeling or connection between a man and a woman，much like the distinct taste of salt on the palate。People in love from the feeling of the fingertips，to get along together，until each other follow，want to go to a place，the mind becomes superficial，attach importance to the expression of words，even if the quarrel，two people are not willing to separate。
Constant Gua：What kind of career can be long and smooth ？It requires individuals who demonstrate persistence，leadership，and inspiration。Additionally，those in top positions should maintain composure and avoid blind action。
Hide Gua：When the villain achieves his ambition，the one chooses refuge or refuge to wait for a fresh start，not escape，and talented people can temporarily endure humiliation when they are not prominent。Han Xin (韩信，? – 196 BC) of the Western Han Dynasty in ancient China is an outstanding representative in this regard，he once gave in to those who insulted him，but he was eventually promoted to general Liu Bang (刘邦，256 BC – 195 BC)，helped Liu Bang to unified the ancient China，helped Liu Bang establish the Han Dynasty，and was praised by later generations as “the first soldier God handsome。”Later，Han Xin met his demise due to his lack of knowledge on seeking refuge。Zhang Zifang，contemporaneous with Han Xin，timely identified Liu Bang’s personal issues and chose to keep himself concealed after the end of war。
Grand Gua：When we rely too much on our own strength，it can lead to arrogance and a lack of vigilance。It’s important to recognize our limitations in order to avoid complacency。
Promotion Gua：In the early stages of a person’s business，it is common for trust to be lacking from others。During this time，it is important to exhibit generosity towards others in order to advance one’s career。Even if misunderstood by some，it is essential not to dwell on this and instead focus on collaborating with like-minded peers who are dedicated to progress。Ultimately，it is imperative to exercise one’s own power judiciously and effectively。
Expedient Gua：If the superior lacks intelligence，as a subordinate，it is advisable to refrain from displaying one’s own intellect。Firstly，assume the guise of an ordinary individual in order to conceal oneself and avoid drawing attention。Avoid conspicuous actions and refrain from standing out or getting too close to potential adversaries。Exercise patience and humility，so as not to arouse suspicion while biding time for a strategic opportunity。
Family Member Gua：This divination refers to the cultivation of morals in one’s own home，without regard to the outside world。The moral character cultivated in the home，like the hot air blowing out of the fire，affects the external things。You can get a rough idea of what a person is like by observing how he behaves in his own home。If he can respect others equally at home，then he will be respected by others。”No choice of words（口无择言）, no choice of actions（行无择行）”，means that what is said and done No need to choice，can be in line with etiquette or law，that is，a person speaks and does things，there is nothing worthy of criticism。
Dissent Gua：Although heaven and earth are though separate，their purpose of creation things remains the same。Therefore，even those who hold differing opinions have the potential to come together。Driven by common goals，officials divide their duties differently。One without external support or social standing should conduct themselves with humility and grace。Although things are contrary to our intention，but it doesn’t have to end badly。For instance，if an individual loses their horse while out，they can take solace in the fact that as an ordinary person，they are less likely to attract criminal attention。But if he behaves differently，he may be in danger from his enemies。
Take Refuge Gua：In order to tackle challenging tasks，it is advisable to commence with the simpler aspects，as the seemingly difficult problems are not insurmountable。Initiating with adventure will only exacerbate the situation。Those who achieve success in adversity deserve commendation for their courage and unwavering commitment to their responsibilities。
Rescue Gua：If there is a need for rescue，prompt action should be taken without delay，and the window of opportunity for rescue must not be missed。Timely identification of issues and proactive preventive measures can mitigate potential hazards。
Loss Gua：Superiors should requisition materials from subordinates based on the requirements of their work，and if there are any errors，they must rectify them。However，even in the absence of mistakes，superiors should not frequently utilize materials from lower levels and must make appropriate decisions according to changing circumstances。Although both Spalling Gua and Loss Gua represent loss，the former is more serious than the latter，because the former represents irreversible loss and the latter is controlled loss。
Beneficial Gua：All beneficial endeavors are subject to the changing times。Even if they have been successful in the past，they cannot be relied upon indefinitely。If those seeking benefits are not satisfied，their dissatisfaction may lead to widespread resentment。Additionally，a person of integrity will either admire or promote what is advantageous and rectify what is amiss when they see it。
Decision Gua：What do you do when you’re alone and you’re facing five enemies? Decision Gua says you should try to buy off some of your enemies first。What would you do if you were the leader again，leading the crowd to destroy the isolated enemy？Decision Gua says that you should give the benefits to your subordinates，so that they will be convinced and rally around you，and then you will be able to win in the end。
Wive Gua：The brake halts the rotation of the wheel not due to its hardness surpassing that of the wheel，but rather because the metallic brake impedes the motion of the wheel。This passage conveys the idea that understanding the essential factor can enable gentle forces to prevail over powerful ones。
Collect Gua：In order to honor their ancestors，individuals congregated and appointed individuals of high status to oversee the proceedings，seeking divine protection。The same emotion brought them together，as if they had been selected。
Rise Gua：A gentleman acquires morality from humble beginnings and develops gradually，much like a seed in the field growing into a tree。If initially undervalued by upper management，one should seek advancement alongside others。Assistance from superiors is crucial in the process of promotion。
Trapped Gua：At the beginning of the Design (象) here，ZhouYi proposed that the gentleman is willing to pay the ultimate price of death in order to safeguard his own beliefs。The true impoverishment lies in the lack of trust from others，as being doubted by others will further diminish one’s wealth。The senary-diction (爻辞) here tells how a person gradually becomes poor，in the beginning，the butt was like growing on a piece of wood—there’s nothing to do；and then eating became a problem；and later he couldn’t marry a wife；and then，when others called his name，he didn’t dare to respond；and then, because he was poor，he was bullied everywhere；and finally，he regretted why he came to this world。
Well Gua：The well takes constancy as its morality—the well is endowed with an unlimited water supply，but if there is a change along the way，then its credit is lost。For example，if the bottle goes to the bottom of the well to draw water and the bottle goes to the top of the well but turns over，the result of drawing water is the same as not drawing water。The Well Gua paints a picture of a poor well similar to the Trapped Gua。Initially，the well was filled with nothing but mud，and even the birds avoided it for feeding。Subsequently，the well’s kettle was damaged。Eventually，the mud was cleared from the well and it became functional again。The deteriorated walls of the well were continuously repaired，resulting in cold and clean water。
Revolution Gua：The truth of Revolution in the natural world is that Cathode-gas and Anode-air interplay，resulting in a constant interchange between warmth and heat，as well as coolness and cold。The ancient scholars carefully observed the celestial and terrestrial changes，leading to a revision of the calendar in order to accurately reflect the four seasons。The senary-diction (爻辞) here tells 大人虎变，其文炳也。君子豹变，其文蔚也。This refers to the nine five and top(or six) six senary-places of Revolution Gua。When influential figures initiate change，establish institutions，and implement regulations，their actions shine in the world like the impressive pattern of a tiger。Similarly，when a person of integrity initiates change，although their impact may not be as significant as that of an influential figure，they still contribute positively，akin to adorning a leopard with a beautiful pattern。The top of D.T.N. here belonged to water，not to gold at that time。Today the nature of D.T.N. belongs to gold，not to water。The reason for this disparity lies in the evolution and transformation of Zhouyi over thousands of years。Traditionally，the Guas in Zhouyi are referred to as innate Guas, while those that emerged after Shao Yong are known as acquired Guas.
Innovation Gua：The concept of innovation involves the skillful combination and meticulous preparation of diverse elements，resulting in a delectable culinary creation。
Thunder Gua：The booming thunder struck fear into the hearts of those nearby，but had a lesser impact on those further away。Such is the power of an emperor’s eldest son—to command respect and instill fear in both his immediate surroundings and beyond。While fear may temporarily shape behavior，it cannot be relied upon for long-term influence。
Mountain Gua：People can see what is in front of them，but they cannot see what is behind them。All things face to face and do not communicate with each other，this is “Bad Gua”。The “Mountain Gua” is to stop and not communicate with each other，just as the person turns around and faces the person with his back。The mountain is the meaning of stop, stop action when the time stops, and carry out action when the time develops，this is the whole meaning of the mountain。
Gradually Gua：The majestic tree thrives on the mountain not because of its height，nor does the mountain suddenly elevate；rather，it is a gradual ascent.。This analogy symbolizes the journey of a water bird transitioning from the riverbank to a tree in order to become airborne。When birds migrate to land, some choose to flock together while others opt to pursue their individual aspirations and follow their hearts。
Lover Gua：This Gua describes polygamy in ancient China。If D.T.N. lower means happy in Zhouyi，then Z.F.J. upper means one eldest son of a powerful man。Rather，If D.T.N. lower means wrangle in Miraculous Eight Way Hide Jia，then Z.F.J. upper means turbulence or in turmoil。
Abundant Gua：The most famous phrase here is, 日中则昃，月盈则食，天地盈虚，与时消息。昃 means the sun is west；食 means lunar eclipse；盈 means grand to the max；虚 means decline or decrease；消 means die out；息 means work and rest。What these words say together is，when the sun moves to the middle of the sky，it will shift to the west。When the moon is perfect；it will fall short。The perfection and lack between heaven and earth will perish and live with time。And “信以发志”，which means A person who has faith，or belief，though in a dark environment，does not do evil or criminal，but persists in his great ambition。
Travel Gua：People leave their houses and go elsewhere called travel。As a passenger，one should not assume the role of the host。If you are a seconded officer，exercise caution to avoid encroaching on the authority of your subordinates and diligently fulfill the assigned tasks from your superiors。
Wind Gua：The upper and lower levels maintain amicable relations，facilitating the issuance of government orders。A true gentleman remains vigilant against complacency even when alone。Forceful implementation of new decrees at the outset，rather than gradual introduction，may easily foment popular discontent。
Talk Gua：The leader bestows favor upon the subordinates，resulting in their contentment and good fortune。A leader with noble and upright thoughts who inspires the morale of his subordinates can embolden them to move forward courageously despite fatigue and fear of death。Conversely，if a leader seeks to please his subordinates solely through empty words，he will be burdened by the concern of insincere flattery。
Escape Gua：This Gua conveys two interpretations：one of evasion or concealment，and the other of exclusion or elimination。The great ancient Chinese militarist Sun Wu (孙武545 BC-470 BCE) wrote in The Art of War that “Thirty-six strategies are the best of which is to walk away”。This is the best annotation of the Huan hexagram。
Rule Gua：When evaluating talent，wise leaders begin by using an established framework with measurable criteria that are relevant but not extreme。In the initial stages of formulating the framework，it is important to consult with a small group of people。Once completed，the framework should be promptly issued。
Equally Integrity Gua：A gentleman stands in good faith，even in the face of humble things such as fish or insects，he treats them equally。A person who speaks of integrity，even in the dark，will be responded to by someone who is as honest as he is。
Slight Error Gua：A gentleman’s three minor faults include excessive deference，excessive sorrow in defeat，and excessive frugality。Slight Error Gua times，can not establish a great moral。But if you follow the villain，it will also bring danger。The shortcomings of the common man lie in negligence，inconsistency，frivolousness，and squandering。
Succeed Gua：If there is a cause that benefits everyone，it will end up chaotic because it has come to an end。Therefore，the gentleman is wary of the disaster that has not yet come，and prepares in advance。
Failed Gua：Building a career can’t just focus on the present，because the opportunity has not yet arrived，and when the time is right，the business can be successful.。Therefore，the gentleman carefully observes all things，plays their respective roles，and waits for the opportunity to succeed，not saying that this thing will not succeed，but that it is not yet time to do it。
